ARN LAUNCHES NEW DIGITAL RADIO STATION
CLASSIC HITS PLUS

The Australian Radio Network (ARN) today announced the launch of CLASSIC HITS PLUS, a
new digital radio brand in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane & Adelaide. Classic Hits Plus will extend
ARN's existing Classic Hits stations and provide digital radio and online listeners with a
showcase of the biggest and most popular artists.
All throughout September Classic Hits Plus will celebrate the release of the re-mastered Beatles
albums by playing only Beatles songs. The stations will also include other specially produced
content such as interviews and highlights, plus the Australian exclusive of the new Beatles Radio
Special direct from Abbey Road Studios.
ARN's CEO Bob Longwell, said "the stations will act as a complement to our great Classic Hits
stations WSFM Sydney, Gold 104.3 Melbourne, 4KQ Brisbane and Mix 102.3 Adelaide."
ARN Group Programme Director Peter Yiamarelos said "ARN's Classic Hits music library is full
of great artists with great back catalogues that are now all fully digitised, which is another great
way to showcase the capabilities of digital radio. Classic Hits Plus allows us to dive in and
expose the vast quantity of content at our fingertips"
The new digital stations will be branded as WSFM Plus in Sydney, Gold Plus in Melbourne, 4KQ
Plus in Brisbane and Mix102.3 Plus in Adelaide, and will be in addition to ARN's existing Classic
Hits station which are also simulcast on digital radio.
