Canberra Short Film Festival - Call for Entries

Call for Entries open: 1st July 30th September

Festival Dates: 15th 17th October, Dendy Cinemas, Canberra.

Entries are now being accepted for the 14th national Canberra Short Film Festival. In 2009, there are four categories;

- National Competition $2,000.00
- National Under 25's Youth Competition $1,000.00
- Canberra & Region Competition $1,000.00
- National Schools Competition $500.00 cash and $500.00 worth of Madman DVD's of your choice.

The Canberra Short Film Festival is a National competition and Canberra's premier short film festival presenting quality regional and national short films. Partly funded by the ACT Government, the festival is a celebration of Australian filmmaking and is firmly positioned on the Canberra cultural calendar with it's unique indy-glitz atmosphere; attracting crowds from all across Australia to the Dendy Cinemas in Canberra City.

The judges will range from academics and critics to professionals in the industry. What they will be looking for is a good story that is well told.

Entries can be up to twenty minutes. Entries should be submitted via Withoutabox at www.withoutabox.com/login/5428 or please contact [email protected] if you require help lodging your film via other means.

Entries close at 5pm on 30th September. Short-listed film makers will be notified on the 12th October.
