     Deepend for SONY BMG

Deepend is proud to announce the release of their first fully animated music video

clip created in partnership with Sony BMG Music Entertainment Australia.for one of

Australia’s hottest up-and-coming Melbourne-based indie rock bands, Trial Kennedy.

The music track, “Colour Day Tours” is the latest single release from Trial

Kennedy’s hot new album, New Manic Art, dubbed “A contender for album of the year”,

by Beat Magazine’s Nick Snelling.

Based on the intricate artwork by Eye Candy Design Australia, the clip depicts the

band’s surreal journey through cityscapes and battlefields, monster rampages and

rainbows.

Deepend scripted and storyboarded the concept, shot the live action elements on

green screen, animated the illustrations in After Effects and composited the band.

“Bringing such a complex illustrated world to life was a fantastic challenge.

Shooting the band on green screen to later integrate them into the animation added

an extra dimension. It was a great project to work on”, Motion Graphics Designer,

Asimina Samolis said.
