Edge of Your Seat Thriller  ‘Storage’ to be released 13th August

Storage is directed by Michael Craft, and is his first big screen movie.

Produced by Gregor Drugowitsch, Michael Craft and Elizabeth Symes

from a screenplay written by Michael Craft, with script editing by David

Caesar.  It is based on an original idea by Michael Craft and is Executive

Produced by David Lightfoot.

The film was originally inspired by a visit to an underground self-storage

facility.  ‘Having experienced first hand how spooky a storage facility can

be, I was very excited about the possibility of using that environment as

the setting for our film” says Craft.  Helping his fiancé move house, Craft

came upon a suitably eerie place to set his debut film.  Storage facilities

have hundreds of rooms and each one stores an accumulation of

possessions, often reflecting different personalities. Craft decided that this

would be an interesting angle to explore.

The film was made in Craft’s hometown of Brisbane and he was glad he

had the opportunity to make Storage locally.  “It has been a wonderful

process being able to make the film in Queensland.  We have an

enormous depth of talent in this state and Gregor, Elizabeth and I all felt

very passionately about keeping the film in Brisbane.”

Storage stars Matt Scully, Damien Garvey, Saskia Burmeister and Robert

Mammone.  Cast also includes Robert Price, Sally McKenzie, Mark Bullos

and Elise Greig.

Director of Photography Tony Luu came on board lured by the interesting

ideas at play in Michael Craft’s screenplay ‘as the film progresses and

terrible things occur to the characters, the film get darker and moodier.

This is reflected in the cinematography,’ says Tony Luu.
