GATSBY STYLING DANCE CONTEST - Dance Your Way Across Asia -

The ultimate dance contest for students is back again! -
For the second year running, GATSBY is organizing the Styling Dance Contest, spanning across seven countries - Japan,
Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia and Taiwan, to search for the best student dancer in Asia.
The contest accepts any genre of dance-Hip-hop, Reggae, B-boy, Popping, Locking. Like last year, 1-3 members are
allowed per team, and only students can join the contest.
Teams will compete in 1 preliminary round, where renowned local dancers will make up the judging panel. After which,
eight teams will be selected to compete in the Singapore Finals before a winning team is decided upon to represent
Singapore. The Singapore Finals will be held on 30 January 2010.
The team representing Singapore will then be sent to Japan, Tokyo to battle it out on the dance floor with their Asian
counterparts, on the 27 February, 2010. The overall winner of the Asia Finals will be rewarded with an once-in-a-lifetime
opportunity to go on an all-expense paid dance exchange tour to any two of the seven participating countries to experience
the different dance cultures in Asia! Other prizes include cash, limited edition New Balance sneakers, and GATSBY
products.

26 Oct. 2009-18 Dec. 2009: Contest application is open to all students.
16 Jan. 2010-17 Jan. 2010: All contestants will be screened by judges in a preliminary round held in a dance studio at O-
School. 8 contestants will make it through to the Singapore Finals.
30 Jan. 2010: GATSBY Styling Dance Contest Singapore Finals will be held. Contest winner will fly on an all-expense-paid
trip to represent Singapore in the GATSBY Styling Dance Contest Asia Finals in Tokyo.
27 Feb. 2009: GATSBY Styling Dance Contest Asia Finals begin, where 7 countries and regions compete for the right to
be crowned Asia's number 1 student dancer.
