With visitors coming from over 14 countries, more than 20,000 people are expected to

attend the event to see the latest imaging technology from more than 100 exhibitors in the

Australian imaging industry.

In addition to the new developments in cameras, lenses and accessories, visitors will be

able to see a giant display of the world’s best photography in a gallery display that

encompass works from top-end press and advertising photographers to that of keen

enthusiasts from the local camera club.

A series of free talks on the show floor will help visitors improve their camera skills by

giving hints on such subjects as how to take better holiday photos and the best ways of

taking a person’s portrait. Keen photographers should also bring their own cameras as

there will be models and presentations offering plenty to see and photograph. Some

exhibitors will also be offering free print services during the show.

“This exhibition has all and everything to do with photography” commented photo

industry spokesperson Paul Curtis. “Visitors will be able to see the whole gamut of

imaging: from the world’s most expensive camera to ways of putting a photo onto a

postage stamp.”

The latest high-end professional camera will set you back $63,800 dollars while the

postage stamp costs only a few cents. In between is in an almost bewildering array of

cameras and new ways of using photos, such as wi-fi digital photo frames and an album

with an electronic page.
