Juice Bar Helps Give Musician’s Recording Dreams a Boost!

Boost Juice is teaming up with Dream Inc Music Workshops to give one lucky aspiring

musician’s career a boost with a The Boost Up Scholarship

The Boost Up Scholarship will be awarded at the 2010 Dream Inc Music Workshop, to

be held at Melbourne’s Parkview Hotel August 14 & 15 this year. The winner will be

chosen by a panel of judges from different corners of the music industry and given the

opportunity to record their debut single in a professional studio with acclaimed Australian

producer Jan Skubiszewski, whose credits as a performer, engineer, producer and

songwriter include Jackson Jackson, Phrase and Daniel Merriweather to name a few.

The single will be premiered via Boost Juice bars across Australia in an innovative move

to explore new channels for exposing new music. The project will be coordinated by

A&R consultant Michael Parisi and his management company.

Special guest mentors at the 2010 Dream Inc Music Workshop include Australian music

royalty Michael Gudinski and Marcia Hines, indie darlings Connie Mitchell and

Angus McDonald of Sneaky Sound System, and rising star crooner Dan Sultan.

Representatives from each major Australian record label will also be in attendance to

keep an eye on the talent. Last year six participants picked up demo deals at the

workshops and this year more talent is expected to be uncovered.

Tickets are strictly limited to 200 places to ensure each participant has the opportunity

to work closely with mentors and A&R scouts.

Aside from the music education aspect of the workshops, the workshop also aims to

inspire self-belief and self-esteem in its participants. This year Dream Inc will continue

their partnership with Youthbeyondblue. A portion of all profits will be donated to

beyondblue: the national depression initiative and Youthbeyondblue .
