AUSTRALIAS ONLY MAJOR MOTOR SHOW OPENS TOMORROW,
OCTOBER 15 AT THE DARLING HARBOUR EXHIBITION CENTRE.
The Australian International Motor Show is the largest in the southern hemisphere and
will showcase a number of WORLD PREMIERES as well as more than 40 new local
reveals.
Headliners include the world premieres of Fords Ranger ute and Mazdas BT-50 ute
both locally-designed for sale on the world market. Several other world premieres are
expected.
A raft of new hybrid and electric vehicles will be on display, including Hondas CR-Z
sports hybrid and Mitsubishi's i-Miev Australias first commercially-available electric
car.
Lamborghinis wild Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera and the rare Lexus LFA supercar
will both make their Australian debuts, along with new exotic models from Mercedes-
Benz, Porsche and Maserati. Other highlights will be Peugeots Le Mans 24 Hour-
winning race car, a luxury SUV from Range Rover and the Top Gear HiLux that
conquered the North Pole.
The official media tour of the show begins at 7.45am, Friday, 15 October at the Ford
stand. There will be numerous photo opportunities throughout the morning.
