Moët & Chandon Celebrates a "Tribute to Cinema" With Scarlett Johansson in Tokyo
TOKYO, Oct. 21 /PRNewswire-AsiaNet/ --
- The Moët Muse Returns to Tokyo in Another Starring Role
Further reinforcing its long-standing love affair with cinema, Moët & Chandon last night hosted a fabulous
"Tribute to Cinema" celebration in Tokyo, with special guest of honor Scarlett Johansson, the Moët Muse. The
champagne of cinema has been the talk of this year's Tokyo International Film Festival for its decision to celebrate
its Muse in the "Lost in Translation" city that skyrocketed her to international renown.
Moët's "Tribute to Cinema" theme infused every breathtaking detail of the evening, held in Roppongi Hills. Mark
Bedingham, Moët Hennessy Regional Managing Director of Asia Pacific, elegantly greeted VIPs on the Gold
Carpet as they arrived.
The highlight of the evening was the entrance of Scarlett Johansson, who warmly welcomed guests on behalf of
Moët, as the Moët Muse. Following the Moët red carpet tradition, Scarlett autographed a golden Moët Methuselah,
to be auctioned in support of her charity of choice. As she addressed the crowd, a spectacular lighting display lit up
the backdrop of the Tokyo skyline in hues of gold.
"I am touched that Moët chose Tokyo, a city that means so much to me, to host this fabulous 'Tribute to Cinema'
event," explained Scarlett Johansson, the Moët Muse. "It is an honor to have been cast as the first celebrity face of
champagne!"
Mark Bedingham added: "As the champagne of cinema, Moët is thrilled to celebrate the magic of cinema and
introduce our Muse in Tokyo, a city that has starred in countless classic films over the years."
In 2009, Moët unveiled Scarlett to the world as the Moët Muse in an international print, outdoor and online
advertising campaign, shot by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, featuring Moët and Scarlett as
icons of celebration.
