One Bourke Street at Melbournes The Hotel Windsor;
Citys Newest Events Facility Sparkles with Space and Natural Light
An exciting new meeting and events facility is available at Melbournes landmark Hotel
Windsor.
Formerly the site of a Hard Rock Café restaurant, One Bourke Street owned by the
Hotel Windsor has been reconfigured and redecorated to now offer an elegant and
spacious function area that can accommodate up to 400 people for cocktails or 230 for a
banquet.
The 536-square-metre site features the high ceilings, expansive windows and
impressive views of Victorias Parliament House that have delighted visitors to the Hotel
Windsor for decades but has been enhanced with harmonious up-grades that include
advanced support for meetings and conferences, sophisticated lighting and polished
timber panelling. It can be accessed directly from Bourke Street or through the ground
floor area of the Hotel Windsor.
All events at One Bourke Street are catered by the Hotel Windsor. Acclaimed chefs such
as executive pastry chef Nigel Braithwaite, formerly executive pastry chef with the Savoy
Hotel in London, plan and provide a unique selection of delicacies for
breakfasts and
conference breaks. The Hotel Windsors fabulous afternoon tea can also be served and
there is a range of quality banquet menus for lunches and dinners.
One Bourke Street is one of the larger meeting and events facilities now available in
Melbourne, David Perry, Hotel Windsor CEO and general manager, said.
It offers a unique and flexible floorplan, a stunning Melbourne streetscape view and an
abundance of natural light that will make any meeting or conference particularly
pleasant. Our culinary team can develop a unique and innovative menu for an event of
any size, from fresh smoothies and croissants for a breakfast meeting to elegant and
healthy working lunches through to five-course banquets. Whatever the occasion, we will
ensure it is memorable occasion.
