Film producer and festival founder, David Lightfoot will today launch the

2009 C-Coffee SHORTS Film Festival.

For the first time, the festival will for run for a full week with 69 Australian

and international films to be shown at the Queen’s Theatre, Adelaide from

December 5 – 12.

South Australian films. Films to be shown during the festival include

Animations, Comedies, Horrors, Dramas and Thrillers

Since the SHORTS Film Festival was first launched in 2003, its reputation

has grown to attract bigger audiences each year. Last year, the festival

moved to the Queen’s Theatre for the first time in order to accommodate

growing audiences.

The SHORTS Film Festival turns its back on the hushed cinema

environment to create social atmosphere where patrons can eat good food,

drink and discuss the films with their friends, family and the filmmakers

themselves.

For the filmmakers, SHORTS offers one of the largest prize pools of any

film festival in Australia, worth over $50,000. The winner receives an all
