SoBo Surfer Stirs Interest in Jim Beam Competition
The Works shoots eight-part mockumentary in support of the
Jim Beam The Break competition to help the next pro surfers
SYDNEY, 3 NOVEMBER: To coincide with The Break surfing competition
public voting, Jim Beam has launched a webisode series featuring Jimmy
Kookaloco, a SoBo (South Bondi) surfer who is keen to win the $50,000
prize.
The eight-part series was created by The Works, as a mocumentary style
web series in support of the Jim Beam competition offering $50,000 to a
male surfer and $25,000 to a female surfer to help them become the next
pro.
Damian Pincus, partner at The Works, said: "Jimmy K's adventures in the
whitewash add some irreverence and humour to The Break at the point
when the serious competition commences to find the two surfers who will
be funded on the pro tour."
Jimmy K can be watched on the Jim Beam website at
www.jimbeamthebreak.com.au/profiles/jimmy-kookaloco, along with the
real entries from Aussie surfers competing for the cash prizes.
The agency worked with Studio 33 on the series, directed by Nathan
Bilton at The Works.
