UNIQLO launches UNIQLO MARCH, our new-style global participatory promotion content, on October

29. You will be able to view participants online from all over the world wearing the latest seasonal

UNIQLO fashion and actually marching through urban streets.

UNIQLO CO., LTD. has launched its new-style global participatory promotion content UNIQLO MARCH

(http://www.uniqlo.com/march/). You will be able to view participants online from all over the world

wearing the latest seasonal UNIQLO fashion and actually marching through world urban streets.

Through UNIQLO MARCH, we hope to successfully express the joy, happiness and satisfaction of

wearing truly good clothes along with people from around the world.

The first event will show 35 people from various professional backgrounds marching through Japanese

cities, wearing flannel shirts available in over 100 different colors and designs. The march will be filmed

using a special camera with an ultrawide-angle lens, and unparalleled ultrawide video footage of

scenes covering more than 50m in street length will be uploaded to the website for viewing online for

the first time.



JOIN THE MARCH -- from anywhere in the world


As the first event gets underway, we will also be looking for participants from around the world to take

part in the second UNIQLO MARCH. All applicants will receive a copy of the original UNIQLO MARCH

soundtrack composed by leading Japanese recording artist Cornelius.


UNIQLO is aggressively expanding its international store network in New York, London, Paris, Hong

Kong, Seoul, Shanghai, Beijing, etc., and the keyword "global" will increasingly feature our marketing

strategy going forward.



What UNIQLO MARCH is all about

 

(1)UNIQLO MARCH - presenting products in a new way

UNIQLO MARCH is web content that enables you to view people online from all over the world

wearing UNIQLO fashion and marching through urban streets across the world. The MARCH kicks off

with 35 people from varied professional backgrounds marching in line, clad in UNIQLO flannel shirts.

The event is a presentation of UNIQLO's rich flannel shirt styling with over 100 different colors and

designs.


(2)JOIN THE MARCH - from anywhere in the world

As with other types of participatory promotion content such as UNIQLO TRY, UNIQLO MARCH is

looking to invite applicants from all over the world. Applicants who make it successfully through the

audition process will take part in subsequent UNIQLO MARCH events scheduled to take place in cities

around the world.


(3)RED ONE - the camera with an ultrawide-angle lens

The first UNIQLO MARCH was filmed by three RED ONE ultrawide cameras usually used for movie

production. Now, you will be able to view ultrawide video footage for the first time online.


(4)Applicants to receive copy of original number composed by Cornelius

The UNIQLO MARCH original soundtrack was composed by leading Japanese recording artist

Cornelius(*). We will present all applicants to JOIN THE MARCH with a copy of the UNIQLO MARCH

original soundtrack each.


*Cornelius Profile

Keigo Oyamada, born in January 1969, debuted as a member of the pop duo Flipper's Guitar in 1989.

The following year he won the Japan Record Awards prize for New Musician Album. When the group

disbanded in 1991, he set up and managed the Trattoria Label. In 1993, he began a solo career under

his new adopted name of Cornelius. Since launching his FANTASMA album in 1997, Cornelius has

performed extensively overseas.
