Hurry... last chance to see
Exposed! The story of swimwear
Australian National Maritime Museum
Darling Harbour
Time is running out for Sydneysiders to see the National Maritime Museums popular exhibition
Exposed! The story of swimwear.
The exhibition, which must close on Sunday 25 October, looks at the evolution of the modern
swimsuit over the last century... from a functional outfit to an often provocative fashion essential.
It also shows how Australian designers and swimstars have been central figures in the global
swimwear story, helping to blur the boundaries between underwear and outerwear.
Following its Sydney showing, Exposed! will tour nationally visiting Western Australia, South
Australia, Queensland, Wagga Wagga and Newcastle with support from Visions of Australia.
The National Maritime Museum, Darling Harbour, is open daily from 9.30 am to 5 pm. Entry to its
exhibitions, including Exposed! The story of swimwear, is free. All inquiries, (02) 9298 3777 or visit
