Kerri Anne Causing Chaos
New business entrepreneurs Matthew Tallent and Amanda Bennetts took their exclusive
Ravishing Wide Calf Boot label Bennetts Boots, to the big time in 4 minutes with the help of
Kerri Anne.
Putting everything on the line they took a punt with an info-commercial on Channel 9’s Kerri Anne
show on Wednesday 13th August 2008 and within minutes of airing styles and sizes were sold out!
And have since been swamped with women wanting to buy their designer boots.
“It’s been chaos! We knew it would increase sales but had no idea we would be flooded with calls
and emails. We have already sold out of some styles and sizes; I don’t know how much stock will
have left for The Melbourne Town Hall this Friday.” Amanda said. “Although with 62% of us
women needing boots that fit I shouldn’t be surprised.”
Having grown their business primarily through Word of Mouth, Matt and Amanda knew they were
supplying a much needed and wanted product. Awareness was their greatest challenge.
“Women don’t know there are boots out there that will fit them, so they aren’t looking” says
Matthew.
To create the awareness they decided to try TV. With no experience and priced totally out of the
traditional 30 second commercial arena Amanda called Channel 9 who suggested The Kerri Anne
Show.
“It was the best experience. We felt respected, they answered all my questions even the silly ones,
and they were fun and professional. Lauren Newton co-hosted the segment with me and she was just
gorgeous. And as nervous as I was, they still made me look and sound great.” explains Amanda. “I
will be buying more segments in the future”.

Bennetts Boots have hired out the Melbourne Town Hall this Friday the 15th and Saturday 16
th
August where we will have their entire range for sale for the first time ever. The boots are also
available to buy online or in selected shoe stores.
