Revamp of Fashion Business Portal FashionNetAsia to Boost Buyer-Seller Interaction

HONG KONG, Jan. 18 /PRNewswire-Asia-AsiaNet/ --

UBM Asia (http://www.ubmasia.com ) announced today the upgrade of FashionNetAsia

(http://www.FashionNetAsia.com ), a vertically-integrated trade portal dedicated to fashion professionals.

FashionNetAsia serves as the platform for buyers and suppliers to trade products across the supply chain -

from manufacturing materials such as leather, fabrics and components to finished products: bags, shoes,

fashion accessories, travelware and more. Established in 2008, there are now over 1,000 sellers operating

showrooms at FashionNetAsia and close to 60,000 buyers who visit the site regularly.

"The revamp supports increased buyer-seller interaction on FashionNetAsia. Additional features include a

trade bulletin, where manufacturers and buyers can post trade offers. The new blog and discussion board will

offer numerous ways for industry insiders to engage into communication," says Jerome Hainz, manager of

eBusiness at UBM Asia.

With the onset of the site revamp, fashion professionals can expect a better browsing experience with a

cleaner web design, easier navigation and improved search and save functions that enable fast and simple

ways to enquire about products and companies.

As the official media partner to leading trade fair organisers APLF Ltd. (http://www.aplf.com ),

FashionNetAsia empowers an interactive Exhibitor List for APLF's two leading fairs: Fashion Access, the

finished fashion products fair and MM&T (Materials, Manufacturing & Technology), the raw materials-focused

fair. This widely used Exhibitor List helps to match visitors and exhibitors - not only ahead of the show - but

also onsite with its free Product Locator service.

Fashion Access and MM&T take place every March alongside APLF's Prime Source Forum, the definitive

networking event for top executives in the apparel industry. Fashion Access is held twice a year in accordance

with the fashion seasons.  The other edition takes place in September.
