Australias best bartender announced
The Angostura Cocktail Challenge Australian Final was held on Sydney
Harbour last night and Andy Griffiths of Cookie (VIC) was recognised as the
nations best bartender.
Twenty mixologistsfrom around the country foughtgallantly for the title but
Andy stood out from the rest with the two drinks he callsMargadale Dram
and St Andrews Flip.
Andy says he was overwhelmed by the win. I am absolutely stoked, I never
expected to win; the competition was brutal. There was an exhilarating mash
of the finest bartenders in Australia. Bring on Trinidad!
Andy received $2000 cash and a trip to Trinidad to compete in the Global Final.
