Get fresh with a sexy sandwich
Sydney, April 2010- The little Big Sandwich Shop is the latest addition to
Llankelly Place; a quirky Melbournesque laneway located on the border
between iconic Kings Cross and fashionable Potts Point.
The Little Big Sandwich Shop (LBSS) is the brainchild of French Chef, Lilian
Bourcet (Fratelli Fresh, Sel et Poivre) and his partner, Producer Katie
Millington.
Drawing inspiration from around the world with a strong French influence, the
ever-changing gourmet sandwich menu is a veritable ode to the sandwich,
utilising the best fresh, seasonal produce and homemade condiments
including aiolis, salsas, pestos and relishes.
The menu features well-known sandwich classics and innovative new
creations, set to become classics themselves.
Classics include the Rueben sandwich with rare roast beef and sauerkraut, a
classic Croque Monsieur, an Italian Meatball sandwich, and the Pan
Bagnat, which is a speciality of the region of Nice, France.
Specialty made-to-order sandwiches include a roast lamb back strap
sandwich with roast sweet potato, minted goat curd and red currant jelly and a
gourmet twist on the Aussie prawn sanga, with tiger prawns, avocado and
fresh mango salsa.
Weve breathed new life into old favourites and come up with some new
sandwich ideas. There is no end to the possibilities of what you can put
between two slices of bread and Im convinced weve found the best bread in
Sydney, Lilian Bourcet said.
With a funky new coffee shop and a hip new wine bar and restaurant also
thriving in the lane way, Llankelly place is set to become an exciting new
Sydney dining precinct.
