Tempus Two Pewter Botrytis Semillon wins at Prestigious Global Competition
Tempus Two has scooped another award at the 2010 International Wine and Spirit Competition
(IWSC), with the Tempus Two Pewter Botrytis Semillon being awarded Gold Best in Class at a
lavish ceremony on 14th October 2010.
The IWSC sets the global benchmark for wine quality and receives entries from over 80 countries
worldwide.
This win adds to an already vast number of awards received by the wine, including the Trophy for
Decanter Magazine 2007, Gold at the Hobart Wine Show and Melbourne Wine Show 2007, and
Gold at the Finger Lakes International Wine Show 2008 to name a few.
Using fruit sourced from Griffith, New South Wales, this impeccable wine is powerfully rich and
opulent with flavours of dried apricots, citrus fruit marmalade underlined by a delicate touch of
wild honey. A hint of lemony acidity adds a refreshing citrus lift to the finish. An elegant wine
demonstrating inimitable finesse, just like the bottle designed especially to house it. At just
$19.99, this international stand-out is exceptional value.
Scott Comyns, head winemaker for Tempus Two says:
2005 was a drought year but the harvest conditions were absolutely ideal for the Botrytis to set in
prior to vintage. Its perfectly ready for the consumer to drink now, however it will continue to
age well for another 5 years.
Comyns joined Tempus Two in 2003 and was appointed Head Winemaker in 2008. His
knowledge and experience of Australias best regional vineyards has been the cornerstone to
Tempus Twos success.
