Animal, Vegetable, Mineral – Exhibition

This exhibition explores the notion of Public Art as an engagement with public

values and attitudes (the ideas that inform a public practice).

From the 1920s to the 1970s this was viewed as an almost defining quality of

Public Art, conceptually uniting work as different as the photo montages of John

Hartfield, the murals of Alfaro Siqueiros and the prints of Noel Coulihan.

Curated by Janine Burke, with artist Geoff Hogg.
