FREE SEMINAR ON ARTS MARKETING
TECHNQIUES FOR ARTISTS SET TO INSPIRE
Western Sydney artists, cultural workers, writers, musicians, filmmakers and digital
media practitioners have been enjoying an exciting range of current and highly
informative arts seminars providing inspiration and creating a practical basis for
many artists of all forms to kick start their careers. The seminars have been part of
an all year round program of professional development organized by the Information
and Cultural Exchange (ICE), a Western Sydney based arts organization, with a host
of partner organisations ranging from Councils, performance spaces and arts centres.
The seminars are free and held in the evenings at different venues all over Western
Sydney every month until December this year.
The free seminar - Arts Marketing Techniques for Artists will be held in
partnership with Fairfield City Council and SAMAG on Thursday, 26 June from
5.45pm – 7.30pm at the Whitlam Library, Level 1, Gough Room, Railway Parade,
Cabramatta. The seminar will focus on the do’s and don’ts of internet marketing,
marketing yourself and your work across different marketing channels and how to
cost-effectively produce and distribute print marketing materials.
“Western Sydney is home to many experienced artists and emerging artists, who are
brilliant at what they do but lack the know how of how to effectively market themself
and their practice. This seminar will inspire artists and people working in the arts
and cultural industry by providing them with innovative and important information
on techniques for arts marketing.” says ICE Director, Lena Nahlous.
Seminars will be held monthly until December 2008 in various venues across
