Midsumma celebrates the sewing circle
Emerging artist Adelina Emmi has set out to pay homage to the great women of the silver screen.
The sewing circle was a term used for the most powerful actresses of Hollywood who were known to
have had relationships or affairs with other women.
On Monday January 18th at 7pm sees the opening of Adelina’s premiere exhibition. She is self taught
and has embodied the spirit and fire that these women possessed.
As part of the Midsumma festival, Adelina’s work, along with other emerging artists, is being shown
at 45 downstairs (45 Flinders Lane, Melbourne).
Her work is magnetic and powerful. She is self taught and brings these goddesses back to life
through her work.
The exhibition runs from January 18th through to the 30
th
