Performing Arts Industry National Education Campaign to be
launched at Queensland Ballet
The Australian Major Performing Arts Group (AMPAG), in association with Live
Performance Australia and the Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance (The Alliance),
will launch the education module of its national advocacy campaign at the Charles Lisner
Studio, Queensland Ballet.
The Australian Childrens Music Foundation (ACMF), The Australian Performing Arts
Centres Association (APACA) and the Australian Network for Art and Technology
(ANAT) are also supporting the campaign.
The Campaign launch will be attended by the Queensland Minister for Education and
the Arts, the Hon Rod Welford MP.
Campaign ambassadors attending, include:
Nick Earls- award-winning author;
Michael Gow- Artistic Director of the Queensland Theatre Company;
Kirsty Martin- Principle Artist, Australian Ballet;
Rachael Walsh- Principle Dancer Queensland Ballet;
William Barton- Didgeridoo player, composer and Indigenous advocate;
A range of artistic directors and performers, along with members of the broader
community who benefit from the performing arts.

The launch of a major performing arts education campaign.

The Charles Lisner Studio, Thomas Dixon Centre Queensland Ballet.
When:
9:15am on Wednesday 9th July 2008.
