Sydney school kids in global child rights exhibition
SYDNEY, 16
November 2009
Children from
Sydneys La Perouse Public School feature
alongside more than 500 children from 20 countries in a global photography exhibition which will
be at Darling Harbour from November 20 to 30.
The exhibition, entitled 20/20, brings together self-portraits by children across five continents,
and photographs by renowned French photographer Gilles Porte. It highlights how all children
are equal - regardless of race, colour, gender, language, religion or ethnic origin.
The event is being organised to mark the 20th anniversary of the United Nations Convention on
the Rights of the Child.
The children from La Perouse Public School will be at Darling Harbour
this Thursday 19 November at 10 am to see their work presented in the
exhibition.
