and will be staged at the historic St Patricks seminary in Manly.
A truly unique collection of vehicles with an estimated value in excess of $100million will

the place of Australians in the world as connoisseurs of aesthetic beauty in all its forms.
A major part of Concours dElegance will be the celebration of aesthetic beauty in all its
forms from fine food and wines to fashion, music and the enjoyment of amazing and
exotic automobiles both old and new.
According to the chairman of Concours dElegance Sydney 10-10-10, Mr Sam Movizio
the event will be a truly International affair and will follow in the tradition of the first
Concours dElegance held in Paris more than one hundred years ago.
We are proud to present Australias inaugural Concours dElegance event and
underpinning the stature of the event only vehicles considered to be exceptional in every
way will be eligible for entry in this world class competition, says Mr Movizio.
The finest collectible and rare cars from here and abroad will be eligible under the
International Concours criteria we will be using and only the top 50 will be eligible for
judging in competition, he added.
It will be a very exclusive event in the ilk of the six major Concours conducted around
the globe each year in France, Italy, the USA and the UK, he said.
Out philosophy is that this will be the ultimate Concours and there will be no
compromise when it comes to applying the International standards and judging rigor and
it is our goal to become the seventh global Concours event, said Sam Movizio.
The honour of winning one of the major International Concours is highly sought after by
automotive collectors and success in major events can increase the value of rare
collectible cars by more than 30 percent.
Concours dElegance Sydney will also feature a number of umbrella events including
classic and vintage car auctions, satellite exhibits, food and wine events as well as
music performances.
This will really be a festival to celebrate exquisite classic cars and the lifestyle around
them, said Sam Movizio.
The inaugural Concours dElegance Sydney 10-10-10 will be staged at Manlys St
Patricks Seminary, on 10th October 2010.
The event while inspired by prominent classic car events in Europe and the USA, will
have a uniquely Australian flavour and will bring together more than 150 rare classic
cars from across Australia and around the world.
We believe an International standard Concours dElegance is long overdue in this
country and will enable the vibrant Australian vehicle restoration industry to showcase
the magnificent skill and craftsmanship of its artisans on a world stage, said Sam
Movizio.
Many overseas collectors now send their cars to Australia for restoration, taking
advantage of the fine workmanship on offer here and this event will amply demonstrate
these skills, he added.
