Bondi Beach will turn into Bikini Bottom this Friday!

Nickelodeon Australia celebrates SpongeBob SquarePants special episode: SpongeBob SquarePants vs. The Big Wave starring the voice of Johnny Depp with a free family event at Bondi Beach

When: Friday 17th April from 10am -1pm

Where: Sydney's iconic Bondi Beach directly in front of the Pavilion

What: A free family event featuring a giant life-size sand sculpture of SpongeBob SquarePants' famous home, Bikini Bottom, and tonnes of beach entertainment.

Surrounding the giant sand sculpture will be piles of Nickelodeon entertainment including character appearances from SpongeBob and his best friend Patrick Star, meet and greets with Nickelodeon hosts Maude and Kyle, a jumping castle, and sand building competitions. All kids that come dressed as their favourite character from SpongeBob SquarePants will receive a Nickelodeon gift.

Creating SpongeBob's Bikini Bottom in the sand will take four days (13th 16th April) with the unveiling of the final sand sculpture at 10am on Friday 17th April.

Nickelodeon Australia will air the special television premiere episode, SpongeBob vs. The Big Wave, featuring the voice of Johnny Depp as Jack Kahuna, on Saturday 18th April at 6:30pm exclusively on FOXTEL and AUSTAR. New episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants also air every Wednesday at 5pm in April.
