FERNANDO FRISONI & KIRRILY JOHNSTON FOR TOYOTA RUKUS PARTY
To celebrate the Australian launch of their all new urban utility vehicle the RUKUS, Toyota
invited leading Australian fashion designers Fernando Frisoni and Kirrily Johnston to each
take one of the RUKUS automobiles and make it their own. Both the designers cars were
previewed this evening at an exclusive event attended by leading names from the worlds of
entertainment, fashion, sport, the arts and the media during
Rosemount Australian Fashion
Week, where both designers presented Spring Summer 10 collections on the catwalk earlier
that day.
The event took place at renowned North Bondi Italian Food, only the second time in the iconic
Sydney venues history that it has been closed for a private event. The venue had been
emptied off all furniture, giving guests room to dance to DJ sets first by Annie Conley, famous
for residency at Icebergs iconic New Years Day party and then Stereogamous, a DJ duo
comprised of celebrated Australian DJs Paul Mac and Jonny Seymour.
A stellar guest list of high profile names including Michael and Lindy Klim (who flew up from
Melbourne especially for the Fernando show and the RUKUS party), star of Underbelly the
Golden Mile, Firass Dirani, Lara Bingle, (Firass and Lara were spotted laughing and joking in
deep conversation) Alex Dimitriadis, Maurice Terzini, Bernard Curry, Julian Tobias, Katherine
Keating and Conrad Coleby were joined by fashionistas Dion Lee, super stylist Michelle
Jank, Dan Single of Ksubi, Camilla Freeman Topper and Marc Freeman of Camilla and Marc
and Bassike designers Deborah Sams and Mary Lou Ryan who all turned out on force to
support Fernando and Kirrily and celebrate the launch of RUKUS. Guests were chauffer
driven in style from Fernandos show to the event in a fleet of RUKUSs.
A special cocktail designed by North Bondi Italian Food served in a rainbow brightly coloured
paper cups. The drink, created especially for Fernando and Kirrily was a delicious mix of
Belvedere Vodka, a drop of Absinthe, Pineapple, Apple and Lime juice, lemonade and fresh
cherries. Guests were treated to a menu of Grissini wrapped in free range Prosciutto, Arancini
balls, Baccala salt cod parcels and Polopetti. All so on offer were three of North Bondi
Italians famous homemade pizzas.
