ICON 2009 Opens in South Korea on November 26th


BUSAN,  Nov. 19 /PRNewswire-Asia-AsiaNet/ --


Opens along with G-Star at BEXCO in Busan, South Korea for 2 days from November 26th to 27th


    ICON 2009, the International Contents Creator's Conference will open in BEXCO located in Busan, South

Korea for 2 days from November 26th to 27th.


    The theme of this year's event is "the Core of Digital Entertainment Industry and the Future Vision of

Leading Contents," and the event will present the latest technology, the future and the vision in four category

sections: game, animation, visual and academy.


    Celebrating the 3rd year, the event will include the lectures from the series of CEOs, CTOs and other

professionals from well-known global companies. These 90-minute lectures, elongated from the 60-minute

ones in the last year, will feature improved interactive communication between the lecturer and the

participants. Also, development teams from a specific product were invited as lecturers so as to provide more

solid lectures in a "Package Session" style, composed of the development, the production and the marketing

strategy of a single project.


    The event will begin with the keynote addresses from the leaders of digital entertainment industry, including

NC Soft (Jaehyun Bae, Chief of Development Unit, "Creating Different Experience Based on Blade & Soul"),

Funcom (Nicolay Nickelsen, Vice President, "World Gaming Industry based on Age of Conan"), and Shanda

Games (Diana Li, CEO, "Chinese Market and the Development Strategy of Shanda"). In the Games section,

the lectures will have various subjects including the comparison between domestic and overseas online

games; the introduction to exemplary successes of domestic and overseas game development teams, and the

comparison between them; the development of game engines; and publishing / entering the gaming market /

game testing.


    Also, the Animation and the Visual Technology sections will have a CG professional from Hollywood invited

to share the know-how, and the reviews of internationally successful Japanese animations.
