NSW Governor to launch historic Stolen
Generations Plan

CVO, Governor of New
South Wales, will launch the Kinchela Boys Home Strategic Plan
on
Tuesday 27th October 2009.
This historic event will see the unveiling of NSW’s and Australia’s first
strategic plan for members of the Stolen Generations.
Between June 1924 and May 1970 up to 600 Aboriginal boys and
even girls, were institutionalised by NSW authorities in the Kinchela
Boys Home on the state’s north coast.
The Kinchela Boys Home Strategic Plan has been developed to start
addressing the suffering and traumatic effects on these children as
well as all Stolen Generation members and their families.
