Background
A free, nationwide travelling exhibition on the Millennium Development Goals and how our aid money is
tackling poverty will be on display at Federation Square, Melbourne from January 17th to January 30th 2010.
Blueprint for a Better World
The Millennium Development Goals and You, presented by Caritas Australia in
partnership with AusAID (The Australian Government Agency responsible for managing Australia's overseas aid
program) is an interactive exhibition showcasing photographs, stories and contributions from Caritas local
partners. It tells the story of global poverty and invites individuals to be part of the solution
the Millennium
Development Goals.

NOTES: The Millennium Development Goals (MDGS) are a global action plan, signed onto by 189 world leaders in 2000, to eradicate extreme
poverty by 2015. The MDGs aim to reduce hunger, mortality for women and children, empower women, decrease the prevalence of diseases
including HIV/AIDS, increase enrolment in primary education, ensure
environmental sustainability and create a global partnership for
development.
