When it comes to family resemblance, theres one genetic factor no-one
wants to inherit thats the BRCA1 gene that increases a carriers risk of
developing ovarian and breast cancer. Soulas mum, Dina, had ovarian
cancer nearly 20 years ago, but it wasnt until Soula herself was diagnosed,
that she requested the genetic test. Both women had the gene, and both have
fought their disease with a positive attitude and healthy lifestyle.
