Standing strong
A six-year-old with a pain in the knee sounds a common enough problem. But
when Kelly took her daughter Hannah to the doctors the diagnosis was more
serious than shed ever dreamed it could be. Little Hannah had an aggressive
form of bone cancer. The family gathered around as Hannah underwent
chemotherapy, surgery and more chemotherapy. Almost a year since that first
stabbing pain, Hannah was given the all clear and it was home for
Christmas

Dreaming of a White Christmas
As Santa, Ian gets busy turning his house into a wonderland for kids at
Christmas. Theres a sleigh, reindeers, a snowman, and even a snow
machine. In fact, Ians spent around $50,000 on his outdoor decorations and
over the years has collected nearly $20,000 for Geelong Hospital. When
faced with vandals and storms wrecking his displays, Ian tells Take 5, he
simply fixed the damage and bought more decorations! Interviews available
No gift at all
For some Christmas is full of precious memories. Manii tells Take 5 of the
Christmas Day when his world was full of promise. His partner Karen,
pregnant, was due to be induced on Christmas Day. But heartbreakingly for
Manii, his beloved Karen and their child were never to return home from
hospital. Two years on, Maniis decorates a tree in Karens honour and
recalls the best time of his life. Interviews available
