Last chance for music grants
Monday 11 October 2010: Local community groups in Perth, that encourage music ranging
from choirs and jazz to hip hop and classical groups, are urged to submit their applications
for the 2010 Telstra Assistance Fund before the closing date of Sunday 17 October.
Since 2003, including this year, the Telstra Assistance Fund has provided more than $8.5
million worth of equipment grants to more than 6,500 community and sporting clubs across
Australia.
This year Telstra is extending the Fund to include new groups that help people connect with
one another, and help bind our communities through music.
The category is open to eligible groups within 400kms of the twelve locations of the Telstra
Road to Tamworth heats taking place across Australia from July to November this year.
To apply, eligible community groups simply need to go to the website at
group and identify how the package would benefit the group.
Applications close on Sunday 17 October 2010.
